New KMZ file added - Will Pittenger's stuff for Google Earth and maps

My name is Will Pittenger. I have been making KMZ sets for Google Earth for a long time. After I starting making those, I wanted overlays for my sets. I was unsatisfied with the accuracy of the images available at Wikimedia Commons. So I started making my own with Inkscape and uploading them. Then I needed a place for anyone that liked my KMZ sets and/or maps to find others. For a while, a simple blog sufficed. But, once I started getting requests, I knew I needed something better. This site is the result. You are welcome to set up an account. Some activities are for registered users only. Take your time poking around and let me know what you think.

Brazilian stock car racing at Campo Grande

The name of the track is Autódromo Internacional Orlando Moura. I included turns (numbered by me due to a lack of information) and two layouts. Also included is the overlay version of my map for this track. You can get the KMZ here.

Street Circuit in Hamilton, New Zealand

This includes all information I could find. Included is the layout of the track and pit road, turn numbers (assigned by me) with names pulled from the official map, streets used, and an overlay using my latest map. You download it here.

Manfield Autocourse in New Zealand is complete

I found 3 layouts and provided all known data on each. There is a comparison of the layouts, turn/straight markers, and an overlay. I also found what I think is an RC course and provided a path and turns for it. You can download it here.

KMZ for Powerbuilt Raceway at Ruapuna Park

I found 7 layouts and two pit roads for the main track, a dirt speedway oval, and what I think is an RC track with 11 more layouts. I provided turn data for each and length notes for each.

Please note that I have stopped measuring paths and polygons and GE 5.2 now provides this data for me. Also, you will find that GE 5.2 can profile the paths (pit roads here).

New KMZ: Curitiba in Brazil

There are three tracks here. One is a full size track that I made an overlay for. Then I found a karting track with 117 layouts and 9+ pit road options. Finally, I found a simple dirt track. All have length data (in some cases extensive). You can download the set here.

Norisring in Germany: Part 2

Because this track is in Nuremberg, some people think thought it would be confused with the Nürburgring. So they used the city's previous name, Noris.

Note: Because this track winds around the place where Hitler gave many of his speeches and expected to watch tanks parading by, there are a lot of Nazi related placemarks in this area for those that are interested.
